🙌 🎉 We’re thrilled to announce the launch of our first cohort for the Vocational English as a Second Language (VESL) Home Care Immersion Training Program, which began in early July 2024. This initiative provides a unique "earn-while-you-learn" opportunity, offering paid training in both English language and home care skills to immigrant workers previously excluded from the workforce due to language barriers.
Homebridge has always been dedicated to supporting our linguistically diverse workforce, representing over 30 different languages. Unlike our previous programs, which focused on traditional language courses, the VESL program is specifically designed to integrate home care language training with on-the-job skill development.

This program is a collaborative effort, made possible through a grant from the California Workforce Development Board and in partnership with key community organizations, including the San Francisco Office of Economic and Workforce Development, SEIU Local 2015, Mission Economic Development Agency, Lao Family Community Development, Inc., and the Middlebury Language Schools, renowned for their expertise in language training. 👨🏫 🎆
