One of the more difficult parts of being a broker and living in a commission only world is anticipating when you’ll get paid. With contract periods last well past 3-5 months, it’s tough to know where things are in the process. Gumption Financial has built a broker portal that serves two purposes. One, we know this world works on referrals and we want you guys adequately compensated. When you sign up to be a referral partners, your portal generates a unique link similar to Venmo that allows you to refer clients. In return, you get a referral fee on any deal income generated through our platform. Two, we want to help you guys track where your deals are in the financing process. So we’ve taken the Domino’s pizza tracker and given you one for your deals. In your portal you can track if a client is still looking for term, in underwriting, waiting for appraisal, or moving to close! " Hey I got a deal but its gotta close in a week" This is typically a pass for me. In some cases I will bring the deal in if it is a fall out from another lender, but, its usually a pass. Here is why- - These deals often dont work. thats why they are now being thrown in your lap. - its likely the borrower or broker has already wasted someone else's time and has now arrived to waste your time. - It can be a problem in disguise! with a borrower or broker that is hope full you will overlook something because of the tight closing time. Do you take on these deals? Are you pitching these deals to lenders? #hardmoney #privatemoney

Had a great onboarding call with a broker yesterday. They’ve been in the business for 15+ years and decided to go out on their own and start their own shop. Their objective is to align and partner with 1-2 capital partners to broker their deals to, rather than signing up with every lender in the market. In my time in the space, these brokers are always the most successful. They train their teams to their capital partners’ boxes and get deals closed. From the lender’s standpoint, these are always the best partnerships to have. You aren’t getting BCC’d on a deal that’s getting shotgunned out to 35 other lenders. Your partner knows your appetite, you can quickly get their deals closed, and everyone is happy. Food for thought! #privatemoney #hardmoney #broker #realestate
