In an initiative developed to help its marketplace members deal with return-related issues, Amazon is giving sellers that use its Fulfillment by Amazon operation flexible options, including resale, for managing product returns. Recommerce is a larger consideration today as a means of managing returns and associated costs, and it requires the ability to process and sell used goods to consumers. #Amazon #GradeandResell #Recommerce #Resale #Returns

Likely in an effort to reduce the #carbonfootprint of #onlinereturns and to lessen the burden of getting #products with opened boxes and removed tags back to #sellers, Amazon launches "Grade and upsell" options for sellers. "In this program, items that are returned to Amazon’s return centers are inspected and then offered for resale. According to Amazon, “Based on the quality check, each item will be assigned one of four listing conditions: ‘Like New,’ ‘Very Good,’ ‘Good’ or ‘Acceptable.’” #returns #reverselogistics #commerce #ecommerce https://lnkd.in/gjgNC6PJ

Adapting to Cultural Preferences in Global Amazon Liquidation Sales In the dynamic landscape of global e-commerce, Amazon liquidation sales have become a pivotal avenue for businesses to manage excess inventory. However, a successful liquidation strategy requires a nuanced understanding of cultural preferences across diverse markets. Adapting to cultural nuances is paramount in optimizing liquidation sales on the global scale. Each region boasts its unique consumer behaviors, and tailoring the sales approach to align with cultural preferences can significantly enhance outcomes. For instance, understanding color symbolism, linguistic nuances, and local customs can influence buyer decisions. In the Asian market, where the color red symbolizes good luck, incorporating this hue into promotional materials or packaging can boost appeal. Likewise, recognizing linguistic intricacies ensures that product descriptions and marketing messages resonate effectively with the target audience. Moreover, leveraging local holidays and traditions can create a sense of connection, fostering trust and engagement. Adapting sales timelines to coincide with peak shopping seasons in different regions maximizes visibility and participation. Ultimately, a culturally sensitive approach to Amazon liquidation sales not only facilitates inventory clearance but also cultivates positive brand perceptions. By recognizing and respecting the diversity of global consumer preferences, businesses can navigate the complexities of international markets, establishing a solid foundation for successful liquidation endeavors. https://amzn.to/4agRVPT

As a platform for small retailers, Amazon is a double-edged sword. Recent Fulfillment By Amazon (#FBA) price increases and inbound placement fees may seem like the wrong side of this but for retailers who understand how to optimize their network, this can become a near- and long-term competitive advantage. An understanding of technologies like auto-replenishment and how to leverage a 3rd party multi-node fulfillment network are central to this opportunity and described in this blog by the Standvast Fulfillment team who know as much about this topic as anyone. #ecommercefulfillment #ecommerce #ecommercelogistics #fbaseller #fbawholesale

There are key differences between Amazon Seller Central and Amazon Vendor Central. Seller Central allows businesses to sell directly to consumers, offering control over pricing and fulfillment options. Vendor Central operates on a wholesale model where Amazon purchases products to resell. Vendor Central is invite-only and ideal for larger brands. Both platforms benefit from EDI and API integrations to streamline operations. #AmazonBusiness #EcommerceTips #VendorCentral #SellerCentral #AmazonSellers #BusinessGrowth #EcommerceStrategy #BOLDVAN #AmazonVendors #DigitalCommerce #EDIintegration

Join my $1 Billion Recovery Revolution!! Customer Returns + Liquidations = Back-Track = Profit Recovery...Automated!!
Retailer vs. Marketplace Amazon 3rd Party Sellers (3PS) grew sales by $50 billion to an estimated $480 billion in 2023 while Amazon 1st party sales grew by $10 billion in 2023. That's 5 to 1. Over 65% of Amazon GMV is coming from 3PS and growing. Over 20 years ago, an earlier company of mine was one of the first 3PS on Amazon outside of BMM, and watching this wild ride over the two decades has been interesting. Some of what I see is frightening for the 3PS. It's estimated that 200,000 new sellers enter the Amazon 3PS space each year. With the "Total" number of sellers remaining about the same around 2,000,000 I have to assume about 200,000 sellers unfortunately close-up their Amazon business each year as well. This is the pain we see very clearly at Back-Track while we help sellers liquidate their remaining stock as they close-up shop. Leaving the $50 billion growth accumulating within the remaining 1.8 million players in the field. "Seller Churn" a topic worthy a lengthy discussion of its own. As a Retailer, inefficiencies cost you money. You spend all your energy cutting out inefficiencies to remain competitive or to generate a profit. As a Marketplace, inefficiencies make you a ton of money. There is one word to describe it: HOPE. I call it "HOPE MONEY" Other people (3PS) spend their HOPE MONEY testing new product ideas. 3PS add the 200th item to the marketplace in HOPE they can beat the other 199 sellers for the same item when internal Amazon's metrics would say there are already too many of this item. However, too much supply +HOPE keeps sale prices low to Amazon's benefit without the direct costs. 3PS will spend even more HOPE MONEY in AD Spend trying to claw to the top (take a look at Amazon's recent AD profit growth). Then there's long-term warehouse storage fees for surplus inventory. Plus, Amazon is now moving some FBA fees to be front-loaded when the item is received, creating yet another major revenue source fueled off HOPE. My HOPE is we find a way to see less new sellers entering the marketplace and more existing sellers profitably remain on the marketplace. This is a much better metric of the "Health" of the marketplace IMO. See you at Prosper in 1 week Amazon 3PS! https://lnkd.in/gpeVn9vz #reverselogistics #amazon #amazonsellers #3pl #prospershow #prosper2024 #sustainability #circulareconomy #returnsmanagement
