In this video, I talk about the organization's Vision For Justice program, which focuses on creating and funding a national employment program to help youth and adults impacted by the criminal justice system. An interesting debate. Prof Carlos Lopes raises key arguments. 1. There is an increasingly urgent call for structural transformation. This should take a holistic view. 2. All concepts work differently in different countries and different sectors (pardon the monotonous word-Different). So narratives and the language that shapes them are critical. 3. The need to institutionalise learning from failure by Government. 4. Whereas the ambition of #AfCFTA is to realise the #Agenda2063, this will be a big hurdle to meet as the Africa is divided, and are dealing with a determined partner (EU). Africa needs to be prepared and understand the contradictions between AfCFTA and her trade relationship with the EU. A very insightful dialogue!
