So! It’s fair to say that Halloween was not a night full of suspense and spooky intrigue in the World Series: Game 4 was essentially over by the third inning. And while the D-backs did their best to make it respectable in the late innings, the 11-7 final score made it seem closer than it actually was, and most of the evening was spent with both teams thinking ahead to Game 5 on Wednesday. Yes, I am a huge Chicago Bears fan (and I've suffered for decades, like all Bears fans). Whether or not you are a Bears fan, you might find some takeaways from this video. I always enjoy listening to how people present their vision and their "why". The video is about 10-minutes in length. Many of the compelling points of the vision of this project relate to community planning. Some of the themes include: -Open space for children to play -Athletic green spaces for youth to come together and be productive and healthy -Integration into built and natural environment -Building recreational and cultural campus -Young students to study in parks and open space and bring back their education into classrooms -A destination where people want to visit and spend time -Year-round campus activation through recreation -Cultural arts focus -Catalyst to help address youth safety -Ecological and sensitive approach -Preserving viewshed While the specifics of the funding model have not yet been clearly shared, it is mentioned that project may cost over $4billion with a percentage (mentioned as much as 50%) from public funding.

Earlier this week Rob Scotland sat down with former Celtic, Blackburn and Scotland international Charles Mulgrew. Part of our week long webinar series, to help educate our grassroots football community about the use of video in training and matches. A couple of key highlights: 1. Applying professional playing principles within grassroots football works! As long as you keep feedback short, simple and digestible. 2. Young players love learning these principles especially when it is reinforced through video. 3. Results are irrelevant. As long as the players are enjoying themselves and can realise their development on the pitch, that is the goal. Positive results are a by-product of the learning process and enjoyable environment! What really struck me is Charlie's passion for grassroots football and the amount of enjoyment he gets out of coaching at this level. As he will no doubt step into a 1st Team Manager role in the near future, I'm sure he will apply all he's learnt from the grass in Lenzie to the professional game.
