I believe WE are ALL made for impact. Whether you're revolutionizing collegiate and soon-to-be professional sports, launching a new venture (details coming soon 😎 ), or working a part-time job, we all have the opportunity to see our neighbors and contribute something meaningful. Here's to each of us improving some part of our world. #Leadership #Kindness #Impact #Perspective
Caitlin Clark’s most impactful NIL deal hasn't paid her anything at all. When NIL passed in 2021, the Coralville Community Food Pantry immediately turned to the Iowa basketball star for help. They offered to pay her for her promotion, but Clark insisted that she work for free. She’s helped raise more than $100,000 in two years.

🌟 Empowering Communities: Bridging the Gap Between Corporations and Non-Profits 🌟 As professionals, we often find ourselves deeply committed to fostering positive change in our communities. Today, I want to share a vision that holds immense potential for impact: the powerful collaboration between corporations and non-profit organizations. Regardless of our roles within our respective companies, we possess the ability to forge meaningful partnerships that can uplift and empower those in need. If there's a non-profit you deeply resonate with, take a moment to envision the transformative impact that could be achieved by joining forces. For me, that organization is Cradles To Crayons Inc, specifically their Philadelphia Chapter. Their dedication to providing essential resources and educational support to children in need resonates deeply, particularly in a city like Philadelphia, where over 300,000 children grapple with poverty. It's crucial to recognize that these children are not just statistics; they are the future of our community. By empowering them with the tools they need to thrive, we're investing in a brighter tomorrow for everyone. So, I urge you: if there's a cause close to your heart, don't hesitate to reach out. Forge connections between your company and the non-profit sector. Together, we can create a ripple effect of positive change that reverberates far beyond our individual efforts. Let's work hand in hand to build a future where every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential. Together, we can make a difference. 💫 #CommunityEmpowerment #CorporateSocialResponsibility #PartnershipsThatMatter https://lnkd.in/dw4VTbUs

Modern Widows Club is so grateful for a $10,000 grant from AmFund- American Fundraising Foundation to support our many programs for compassionate #widowsupport for widows moving from #grief to #growth while rebuilding life post loss of a spouse. Foundation support is critical for the thousands of #widows who find us every year worldwide. Many are financially devastated. Our widow leadership and expertise enables us to create communities led by trained leaders and develop in person and virtual programs backed by research. The outcome is a decrease in overwhelm, fear, isolation, depression and lack of interest in health to 90% increase in confidence, decision making, happiness, meaning and purpose, peace of mind, interest in health and their new future. Investing in widow programs decreases local and state mental health, health care and social support systems while supporting widows with proven solutions to the many secondary losses that come in the years after the primary loss. Across PWF’s nine jurisdictions, there have been both significant steps forward and troubling steps back in the fight to catalyze a transformative approach to justice that is community-led, restorative, and racially just. The ebb and flow may slow us down. It may cause us to regroup. But it doesn’t stop our march onward. #Philanthropy #CommunityInvestment #Community #RestorativeJustice #TransformativeJustice

There is still time to register for this very powerful and informative training. Thank you Catie White, CFRE for provding us with this amazing opportunity to learn. Trauma-Informed Care is a lens in which we interact with our communities to best support their healing and needs. Tenants of trauma-informed care include safety, trustworthiness, choice, collaboration, and empowerment. Applying these tenants to the fundraising space helps empower fundraisers to build a stronger communications and language that works to include donors in the work of justice and healing. Learning objectives will include how to craft narratives that center lived experience without othering or trivializing lived experience, how to practically apply trauma-informed principles to our work, and how to engage donors in the process of trauma-informed systems that lead to healthier philanthropic interactions and stronger community ties. When thinking about the future and the distribution of your assets, you may feel torn between those causes you are passionate about and promises made or responsibilities felt for family and friends. When you begin to explore all the options available with planned giving, you can find a customized plan so that giving to your family and your favorite organization are both possible. A bequest is the easiest gift you can make without using any of your current resources. It is simply a commitment made in your will or trust to leave a future amount, asset, or percentage of your estate to CASA OC. Your gift is important to us because it will help us continue to provide desperately needed one-on-one mentoring and powerful court-authorized advocacy to the most abused, neglected, and abandoned children in the future. If you have already included us in your estate plan, please let us know so we can recognize and thank you.
