We engineer out hazards as our safety baseline in construction. In cranes and rigging, doing this not only is safer, but it's faster. Are you leaving 30%... 50% of your cranes production capacity on the table because you aren't simply hooking in? What would you do with 30% more crane time doesn't have to be theoretical. Our catalog and experience can be the key to finding that next level in production.

🚢 Planning and Scheduling a Shipbuilding Project: A Small Bulk Carrier Case Project planning and scheduling are crucial for the successful delivery of any shipbuilding project. Here's a snapshot of a high-level schedule for building a small-sized bulk carrier: 1️⃣ Procurement of Materials – 3-4 months 2️⃣ Storage of Plates – 2-3 weeks 3️⃣ Surface Preparation – 1-2 weeks 4️⃣ Priming and Dying – 2-3 weeks 5️⃣ Plate Cutting – 4-6 weeks 6️⃣ Plate Bending – 3-4 weeks 7️⃣ Assembly and Painting – 4-6 months 8️⃣ Outfitting – 6-9 months 9️⃣ Ship Launching – 1-2 weeks 🔟 Sea Trials and handover – 2-4 weeks considering a 24 hours working calender and the overlapped activities gives a total of around 400 days. However, and as with any complex project, progressive elaboration plays a key role. As more detailed information becomes available, this schedule will be further refined. From procurement to sea trials, each phase will become clearer, ensuring that the project adapts to new knowledge, challenges, and opportunities. Flexibility is key in delivering a project on time and within scope! #Shipbuilding #Project_management #Bulk_carrier #Progressive_elaboration #Maritime_Industry #Shipyard #Planning #Scheduling #Marine_engineering #Sustainable_shipping

OSHA GUIDE - cranes and derricks in construction; SECTION 1402 - GROUND CONDITIONS. >> You must not assemble or use a crane unless ground conditions are firm, drained, and graded to a sufficient extent so that, in conjunction (if necessary) with the use of supporting materials (such as blocking, mats, cribbing, or marsh buggies (in marshes/wetlands), the equipment manufacturer’s specifications for adequate support and degree of level of the equipment are met. The requirement for the ground to be drained does not apply to marshes/wetlands. Accepting feedbacks, so we can all gain more skills and knowledge on lifting operations.
