Very very valid. Its so funny to see line managers stress the hell out of HR to hire the best talents and then turn around and try to tell these professionals how to do their jobs. However, I see where they are coming from, As a line manager, you have overall responsibility for outcomes. The natural instinct is to control everything within your control, which includes how your team works. It takes deliberate effort to let go of the reins and watch people do their thing recognizing that 'no be only one road enter market'.
