AI is saving physicians time by helping to manage the prior-authorization process, which (to put it mildly) is time-consuming and burdensome. A slow prior-authorization process can also be a hindrance to a patient obtaining an important and timely treatment or diagnosis. Technology is going to be the key for future healthcare success. 🗝 But doesn't mean it isn't going to have its kinks to work out first. 😲 I understand Humana wanting to use AI modeling. But they should be responsible on overseeing and looking out for any errors. If they noticed a substantial increase in denials “Humana’s implementation of the nH Predict AI model resulted in a significant increase in the number of post-acute care coverage denials.” This should raise concern.
