🌟 Hospice is Not Scary – It’s Compassionate, Dignified Care 🌟 At Mountain View Hospice, we’re here to shed light on what hospice care truly is—a compassionate, quality-focused approach to end-of-life care. Here are some facts that may surprise you: ❤️ Hospice is about caring, not curing. Hospice focuses on living well at the end of life, honoring patients' wishes while providing expert medical, emotional, and spiritual support. 🩺 Care Tailored to YOU. Hospice ensures: Pain control tailored to the patient’s wishes. Emotional support for patients and their families. Someone to honor the patient’s end-of-life wishes. 🏡 Dying at Home Matters. 80% of Americans want to die at home, but less than 25% do. Hospice makes this dream possible—over 75% of hospice patients pass away at home, surrounded by loved ones. 💸 Covered by Medicare. Hospice care, including medications, equipment, and 24/7 nurse availability, is covered under Medicare at little or no cost to patients and families. 📈 Americans Want Hospice Care. Yet, 83% don’t know about it. It’s time to change that. 💡 The Bottom Line: Hospice care is about dignity, compassion, and choice. It’s the gold standard for end-of-life care. 📞 Let’s Talk! If you have questions or want to learn more, we’re here 24/7. Contact Mountain View Hospice at 623-230-3698 or visit https://lnkd.in/gXYch2Ba. There are many misconceptions surrounding hospice care. It’s something my team and I encounter regularly. With that said, we’re happy to dispel the myths and offer the facts to anyone seeking information. I came across a recent NPR piece on this topic. It tackles 6 common hospice myths, including, hospice care is only for the elderly and hospice care is only for those who have given up on life. Because misinformation is so commonplace, articles like this do a great service. In the spirit of knowledge sharing, I invite you to check it out. https://lnkd.in/gyH9x-se #palliativecare #hospice #illness #orangecounty #personalsupport

Hospice professionals have a special calling. Here are a few words from Gidgett, a Community Liaison with our Victoria office: When it comes to my job, I want everyone to know the true meaning of Hospice. As an individual, you have a choice in Hospice care, regardless of where you call home - whether it’s in a hospital, your home, assisted living, or a nursing home. Altus Hospice offers several specialty programs, including CBD treatment plans and Aromatherapy, which sets us apart from other agencies. It's essential to recognize that hospice care is not a diagnosis, but a care plan designed for individuals with terminal illnesses. Starting hospice care sooner can lead to a better quality of life during the end-of-life journey. Consider engaging hospice services when a prognosis is six months or less, rather than waiting until the final hours or days. This proactive approach enables the hospice team to offer comprehensive support, guidance, and resources to ease the transition. Please reach out to me or your local office if you or your loved one needs assistance. Even if you are at a crossroads and don’t quite need hospice I have over 15 years in senior care and can guide your family in the right direction. https://lnkd.in/gtWYwZRr #Hospice #OurCareFamily #HereForYou
