Even a minor injury could be costly and prohibitive. Being stateless faced huge obstacles to accessing services that many of us take for granted. For stateless individuals, every instance of ill health could be a life-and-death situation. Not to mention about mental health circumstances, thinking of life uncertainty makes them committing a crime, ensuring life sustainability within their family members. In Sabah context, geographical structure mostly are mixture of mountinous regions, beaches and tropical rain forests. Most of the community lives in the Island and woodland territories, seeking some shelters and security purposes. As we stand to advocate and provide a better health education to the people, we want to extend our volunteering opportunities for those in health practitioner to reach more vulnerabilites people in a rural area. Due to geographical disparity, most of the community unable to reach health facility. Hence, Medical Outreach Programme is a pivotal activity, ensuring that "NO ONE SHOULD BE LEFT BEHIND" Seeking for your kind connection to share the post and we would be more delighted for those who are keen to join us in making an impact to the people in needs.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, travel was restricted and physical distancing measures were put in place. AHK Indonesia (EKONID) were not immune to the impact. However, in line with our commitment to support bilateral business between Indonesia and Germany, EKONID continued to conduct business delegations and trade missions – assisted by advances in digital technology. That said, no amount of online interactions can truly replace face-to-face meetings (at least not yet). Two years after the pandemic, after travel restrictions and physical distancing measures were lifted, EKONID again returned to the format of physical business delegation visits and trade missions in promoting business relations between our two nations. EKONID will celebrate its 100th Anniversary on September 27, 2024. I join Michele Beffa in expressing my gratitude to Ambassador Ngurah Swajaya for providing us with his insights on Indonesia and to Michele Guerra for organizing the meeting.   Indonesia is the largest economy in Southeast Asia and one of the most vibrant democracies in the region. It is also the world’s fourth most populous country with 277 million people across 17’000 islands.   The Country offers opportunities in a variety of sectors and Swiss companies can capitalize on the EFTA-Indonesia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) and, effective August 1, 2024 also on the investment promotion and protection agreement.
