This week on “Adam’s doing a retrospective of favorite video projects to help with his job search…” Our Global Business Operations team really lets me have it for severely hindering their work lives in… I have too many friends. 😑😵💫🤬😓 https://lnkd.in/ekngTbHe This internal video poked fun at the new social burdens our GBO team had to endure since presenting their Classic Razzle Dazzle, part of a greater internal campaign for the year. Hats off to Jane Aldridge-Nichols, Matthew Hoy, Tony Hung, and Nitya Shekar, JD for their stellar acting. The GBO team was always so kind and professional - I thought it would be fun to show them losing their cool. Most of my videos up till this involved elaborate edits and syncing to music, etc. This time I really embraced “work smarter, not harder”, which was also really helpful with no budget! If I remember correctly, we knocked this out in 3 rehearsals and 3 takes. The whole project took two days to turn around from ideation to delivery. If 50 people interact with this post, I’ll share the one that I did with Timothy Smith after his team’s Tech Ops Classic Razzle Dazzle titled “I had too much fun.” 🧡 (...one of my all-time favorite performances in an AppNexus video.) 🧡 👩🏼💻 🧡 🧑🏻💻 🧡 🧑🏻💻 🧡 For anyone who finds this in their feed and doesn't know me - hi! 👋 🙂 I love working at the intersection of community and communications. Ideally I'll find work with a company trying to solve some part of the climate crisis, that's where my heart is, but I'm open to discussing other options. In-person/hybrid/remote/relocation - everything is on the table. In 8 years at a startup called AppNexus I helped build 3 teams (Audit Services, Recruiting, & Marketing) as well as every role that I had at the company. I worked cross-functionally with literally every team in every timezone as well as select customers, and ended my career there as Head Storyteller.

Check out some of the frames from this 😍 We've been getting some really good interaction recently. I appreciate all the comments and engagement massively as it helps our brand grow! In a recent shoot with Nextbase where we need to make 1 location work for 5 different interview setups with B-roll. You Might ask... How did you do that all in a day? The answer is meticulous planning, schedules and timelines for the day. Each interview had a setup time, a filming time and enough time spare for us to capture B-Roll afterwards. We were working to the minute on some of these. I'd be the first to admit when we started 8 years ago, that planning wasn't even a consideration. I would rock up and wing it, hoping everything went smoothly. Now looking back, It's crazy to think we used to work like this.
