Oftentimes, the Sales Enablement Manager role is seen as a position where someone is simply shipping fancy decks aimlessly and endlessly. 😱 ❌ Strange, but that's what most job listings from big enterprise companies seem to scream. This is how we perceive the Sales Enablement Role: 1️⃣ Abraham Lincoln once said, 'If I had eight hours to chop down a tree, I’d spend the first six of them sharpening my axe.' A good AE will win 10 deals; an enabled AE will win 100! 📈 2️⃣ We could also equate this role to a program manager or project manager who runs a sales program. 🏋♀️ This team enables the Sales teams with strategy, talk-tracks, collaterals, battle cards, custom decks, and anything under the blue sky to win the deal. 3️⃣ They work cross-functionally with Product, Content, and Sales. 📊 They understand the sales process so well that even before the AE hits a blocker and looks back, the enablement team has already thought it through and crushed the blocker! Is the Sales Enablement Manager a side character to Sales, Content, or Product? Nope! They are the ones holding these teams together, watching out for them… Always! ❣ P.S.
