Here are some reasons why you may be suffering from low gross profits from your RV deals: 1. DIRTY, DISORGANIZED INVENTORY. If you don’t think enough of your inventory to clean and display it professionally, why would your customers think positively about it? If you look like you sell junk, you’ll get junk prices. 2. EVERYTHING’S ON SALE. If a large percentage of your inventory is advertised at rock bottom prices, customers will automatically assume you can do the same on your other inventory. 3. SALES TEAM IS “PRICE-FOCUSED.” If you are not zeroed in on building product knowledge with daily, interactive walk through demonstrations using “Feature Advantage Benefit” selling methods, you will not be able to ask for maximum pricing from your clients. 4. LACK OF SALES PROCESS. An effective sales process is not designed to make life easier for your sales team, it’s designed to make the purchase process easier for your clientele. Good information gathering and effective product selection are key to building value based on the client’s needs.
