Podcasts have many benefits for students—teaching them how to speak with confidence, giving them a break from regular schoolwork, and offering a chance to examine the real world. Bottom line: podcasts are worth adding to your instruction. Learn more on the HMH Shaped Blog: http://spr.ly/6042iDG04 🎙️

You know what good business content and children's writing have in common? They get to the fucking point. I hate waffle (not the foodstuff, they're delicious), and nothing annoys me more than having to wade through paragraphs of padding to get to the information I'm looking for. The same goes for podcasts - I don't really want to listen to 20 minutes of the hosts chatting about their week before they get into the meat of the episode - especially when it's only a 40 minute episode! Stop being a slave to a word count, and focus on delivering your content in an informative and entertaining way. If that means your blog is only 500 words long? Cool! I'm much more likely to read it than if it's 800 words with 300 words of pointless padding. --- Not sure how to cut the waffle and get your message across? Drop me an email, I'd love to help! 📧

There are two types of people in this world: 1. Those who are looking for reasons why not. 2. Those who look at you like an alien with five eyes for not having already done it. Here's a perfect example: 1. Those who say, "there are already so many podcasts out there, why would anyone care about what I have to say?" 2. Being in a room full of world class leaders where hosting podcasts, writing books, and speaking from stage is normal and it's odd if you aren't doing it. Which group do you want to be in? Let that be where your thoughts & actions go.

I really appreciated this post from Unbreakable and Uplifting for writing about healthy power, power over ourselves. Often in toxic or dysfunctional relationships we lose ourselves, and it becomes about the other rather than stepping back into our ability to make decisions about ourselves, separate from the other. That’s where the real lesson is. Check out our informative and entertaining podcasts and videos
