ICYMI, the USGBC has released the following summary documents that compare the new version of LEED (v5) with the previous LEED v4/4.1 versions. It was a great morning at the Westbury Hotel hosting our annual #WorldGreenBuildingWeek event! For this year’s event, we teamed up with the Irish Green Building Council and Aramark Property by having Giovanni Impoco and Katerina Kopecna MSCSI present alongside myself. To tie in with Cundall’s theme for this year, we looked at advancing circular construction and decarbonisation in Ireland’s built environment. Here are my key takeaways: -Understand your building typology and energy usage profile. -Collecting and record data and use this to set your decarbonising targets. -Engage with your technical advisors and start feasibility studies as soon as you can to plan your journey in decarbonisation. -Design for construction and deconstruction to maximise the use of raw material. #WGBW2024
