Gender-based violence lives in society in various forms. It can look like limiting a woman's self-expression or identity. It can be seemingly minor comments that build up to become emotionally abusive. At Let Her Talk we hear racialized women's stories of emotional abuse, manipulation, gaslighting, and more all the time. These are stories that don't get taken seriously because the harm is hidden. It builds up and affects women's self identity and progression toward a successful, fulfilling life. That's why we create space for women and girls to express themselves and refuse silence. We want to let her talk it out and refuse to be treated in abusive ways.
Together, we can end gender-based violence. Between now and December 31st, GreenShield Cares will match every dollar you donate to help women and gender-diverse people rebuild their lives after experiencing violence. That means your gift will have double the impact! Make a donation today >> https://bit.ly/3tf8YRL #EndGBV

Join us this #givingtuesday by supporting the stories and futures of formerly incarcerated women by contributing $10/mo for the next year! Here's a glimpse of what your $10 per month could mean for them: Transportation to Events: Help cover the costs of commuting to crucial events, such as speaking engagements at City Hall, where our members advocate for meaningful change. Medication Assistance: Assist in providing financial support for essential medications, ensuring our members can prioritize their health while focusing on their advocacy work. Hygiene Product Purchases: Contribute towards purchasing hygiene products, alleviating the financial burden for our members and allowing them to concentrate on their goals. Your continuous commitment to our cause fuels the momentum for change and empowerment. Together, we're building the political power of formerly-incarcerated women in the metro Atlanta. https://lnkd.in/gXmRRzYY

Strengthening democracy requires immediate solutions within a long-game approach. She Should Run is pursuing exactly that by working to dramatically increase the number of women who are considering a run for office. I’ve served on the She Should Run Community Council since 2023 and am proud to support the critical work their team is doing to grow women’s political leadership. If you’re eager to get involved too, I encourage you to join our monthly giving program, Team250K. https://lnkd.in/eYgepdYu Women don’t just decide to run for office overnight. On average, it takes more than 4 years! This is why monthly donors are so crucial to She Should Run’s work. When you become a member of Team250K, you’re helping support our mission to get more women on the ballot–because when women run, they win, and when women lead, we’re all the better for it. Plus, when you sign up for a new monthly donation by July 15, She Should Run will send you a free gift as a thank-you! Join Team250K now: https://lnkd.in/eYgepdYu Thank you for the support!
There’s less than 1 week left to score your free gift when you sign up for a new monthly donation through Team250K, our monthly giving program! Tip #5 from Maryann Fernandez: 👪 Establish a Grandparent / Grandchild philanthropy program for your family. It’s easy: grandparents set aside a sum of money, each grandchild gives a donation (not necessarily a large sum) to the nonprofit of their choice, and children and grandparents come together to discuss the impact of the gifts. The Benefit? It’s a meaningful way to transfer stories, share values, and strengthen bonds between the two generations. Here’s a link to an interview with respected family wealth advisor, James E. Hughes Jr., talking about Grandparent / Grandchild philanthropy: https://lnkd.in/e7KqYSb7 #philanthropy #giving #nonprofits #wealthmanagement #familybonding

WOMEN SUPPORT CHARITABLE CAUSES 🌿 In my practice, women clients often express a desire to support charitable causes close to their hearts. By educating women clients on options, we can create plans to benefit loved ones and charities simultaneously. Exploring a woman's favorite charities sparks conversations about the diverse possibilities for charitable giving. While planning for men and women may not differ substantially, women often approach discussions with a desire to talk through issues and ensure their concerns are understood. Let's work together to create a legacy that reflects your values and supports causes dear to your heart. 🌟 #CharitableGiving #WomensHistoryMonth #EstatePlanning

Did you know that half of women in the U.S. are single due to being widowed, divorced, or having never married? If you, as a charity leader can identify and speak to the unique needs of women, the opportunity exists for you to empower their giving, legacy planning, and finish-line focus in dramatic ways. Legacy may mean something entirely different to them than it did to their parents or their spouses. In this webinar, we’ll consider what it looks like for charities to serve women givers with greater intentionality and understanding – especially engaging those who are going it alone.
