Firstly I just really like daisies and foxes, however when I started to think more about what they both represent I found that the name really embodies my core values and vision for the business. "Daisy” - the sunny springtime flower, represents new beginnings, joy, cheerfulness, loyalty and the beauty of growth. I believe in nurturing businesses just like daisies, helping them thrive and bloom in the competitive landscape. Be unique to overcome the fear of competition or business coming after you.

When I was in my late 20s, I started my first business Performance Enhancement Golf. After working at the hospital, I would see clients at a local gym and work on their flexibility, strength, and muscle reeducation so they could play better golf with fewer aches and pains. Not knowing anything about business, I started to read. I read all sorts of books on business including: - Rich Dad, Poor Dad. - E-Myth - Cash Flow Quadrant I learned so much and took away tons of lessons. Later on, when I opened Schrier PT, I read even more books and began to implement some of what I learned. E-Myth taught me the importance of delegating and to stop working “IN” my business but “ON” it. Rich Dad and his second book, Cash Flow Quadrant, taught me to become a real business owner, I needed to move away from the Self Employment quadrant to the Business Quadrant. My business continued to struggle. My referrals were mostly word of mouth and I didn’t have any way to control them. Financially, I was barely making the same amount I made at the hospital…but working a shit ton more hours. I realized a few things. Gurus and experts have a wealth of knowledge… And a lot of what they say is great stuff. HOWEVER… The advancement of your business is all about understanding the problems you're facing and applying the correct solution. (kinda like when we evaluate patients) If you apply the wrong solution to the right problem (even if it's a good solution) it will still fall way short. In fact, it can actually do more harm than good. If you apply, for example, strategies to build your team without first getting consistent referrals and new patients in the door, you will be cash-stressed and profit-negative. Here are 6 Phases of Business (ie: a private practice). Each phase has specific problems and solutions one needs to “graduate” to the next phase. I break it all down for you in this video.
