We are excited to announce the arrival of ZIPAIR Tokyo at Bush Airport in 2025! "We welcome ZIPAIR to Houston, as it reflects our city's prominence on the global stage," said Houston Mayor John Whitmire. ZIPAIR will operate four weekly flights between Houston and Tokyo. Their unique business model offers a comfortable and budget-friendly travel experience for both seasoned and new travelers. NEW STARBUCKS ALERT! Located in the West Concourse near Gate 1, this Starbucks now ensures all passengers can order their favorite coffee or tea from any of the three concourses at Hobby Airport. Starbucks is among the new food and beverage options opening between October and December 2024. We were honored to be part of the debut of the Lilium Jet in Houston, a revolutionary electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. This innovative technology has the potential to revolutionize air travel in our region, offering faster, quieter, and more sustainable transportation options. Galaxy FBO, a local aviation services provider, is partnering with Lilium to offer future regional air travel options, including routes between Houston, Galveston, College Station, and The Woodlands. Our executives were on hand at Galaxy FBO at Hobby Airport to witness and discuss this groundbreaking event. The event was organized in partnership with the Greater Houston Partnership.

Houston Airports clinched the Best Architectural Icon award at the annual AIA Sandcastle Competition in Galveston! Over 40 of our amazing employees and contractors gathered at East Beach in Galveston to show off their creativity and teamwork. This year, our team used sand to recreate the 1940 Houston Municipal Airport Terminal Building near William P. Hobby Airport (HOU). We thank everyone involved for making this event a success.
