🚨 UPCOMING EXHIBITION 🚨 We’re incredibly excited to announce The Art of Subversion. This first-of-its-kind exhibition will feature a provocative blend of street art, tattoo-inspired art, and functional glass art. The term ‘subversion’ is defined as “the undermining of the power and authority of an established system or institution.” With that, the goal is to initiate a broader conversation about how artwork is understood in our contemporary world. For decades, street art was seen as no more than vandalism, and only recently has it gained recognition for its cultural value. Similarly, while the traditional medium of tattoo art has been around for centuries, it has only been in the last few years that our society has shaken the stigma associated with the art form. The same cannot exactly be said for functional glass art, more simply known as ‘sm💨king 🅿️ipes’… I mean, I can’t even type the words normally here without getting this post flagged!! As with tattoos, the art of 🅿️ipe making and the medium of glass blowing has a profound history, yet it is an outsider in the art world. We hope this exhibition can help shift our collective perspective of these underrepresented forms of artistic expression. ••• WHEN: Friday, September 13, 5 - 8 PM WHERE: Rehs Contemporary 20 West 55th Street NYC ••• #streetart #tattooart #art #arte #contemporaryart #functionalglass #rehscontemporary #artexhibit #artexhibition #newyorkgallery

Coming soon! Umibaizurah Mahir@Ismail in “Remote” - A compelling three-artist theme exhibition that invites visitors to explore diverse visualizations and interpretations of the concept of remoteness. Each artist will present a unique perspective through an array of drawings, paintings, and sculptures, creating a multifaceted dialogue around the theme. The term “remote” commonly describes something that is situated at a distance, either physically or metaphorically. This exhibition delves into the multiple dimensions of remoteness, offering varied artistic expressions that engage with the theme in profound ways. Through their works, the artists will interpret “remote” in contexts that range from geographical isolation to emotional detachment, technological mediation, and beyond. In the context of nature, “remote” typically refers to locations that are far removed from densely populated areas or urban centers. These places are often characterized by their untouched beauty and tranquility, providing a stark contrast to the hustle and bustle of city life. The sense of peace and unspoiled wilderness found in remote natural areas underscores their separation from human activity and development. This isolation preserves their pristine landscapes and ecosystems, which are cherished for their inherent calm and natural beauty. This exhibition will explore these varied interpretations, encouraging viewers to reflect on the multifaceted nature of remoteness. Whether through the serene depiction of secluded natural landscapes, the abstract representation of emotional distances, or the critical examination of our increasingly virtual existence, the artists will challenge us to reconsider our relationships with space, place, and connectivity. Each artwork will serve as a lens through which the audience can contemplate the nuanced implications of living in a world where the concept of “remote” is continually evolving. #artadvisory #artfund #modernart #contemporaryart #asiacontemporaryart #visualart #collectibles #artcollector #artmuseum #curatedexhibition #sgart #sgartcollectors #artseasonsgallery Theresa T.

Explore Ben Sanderson's exhibition, OUROBOROS, where art transforms into a spatial experience. The gallery becomes a tapestry of temporary rooms crafted from repurposed paintings. Each piece holds intentional 'fronts' and serendipitous 'backs,' playing distinct roles in this artistic narrative. Sanderson invests meticulous energy into the 'fronts,' featuring top-stitched, colour-block patterns housing smaller paintings. A deliberate process unfolds as selected artworks find their place within collaged walls, creating a visual symphony of thoughts. Conversely, the 'backs' reveal a fully improvised artistic journey, surprising even the creator. They embody the repository of subconscious thoughts, akin to crawling through a hedge of creativity. Unplanned and spontaneous, the backs hold fragments that resist categorization. It's a dance of confusion and clarity, where fronts emerge from old backs, and backs are born from old fronts. Ben Sanderson’s OUROBOROS exhibition invites you to explore this intricate interplay between intention and spontaneity, where every piece tells a unique story. Dive into the realm of transformed art, where the frontiers of creativity are blurred, and the unexpected takes centre stage. Street artist ODEITH is renowned for his mastery of the anamorphosis technique, which creates stunning 3D optical illusions on flat surfaces or 90-degree corners. His latest creation, "Unconscious," is currently on display at STRAAT, Amsterdam’s museum for street art and graffiti, and is a striking example of his talent for blending realism and illusion. ODEITH completed the piece over six days, with much of the work improvised as he responded to the space around him. "Unconscious" showcases ODEITH's incredible ability to push the boundaries of street art and continues to elevate his profile in the international art scene. #StreetArt #AnamorphicArt #GraffitiArt #PublicArt #Molten #MoltenImmersiveArt #MoltenArt #MoltenAffect #Curation #Curator #ArtCuration #ArtCurator #DorothyDiStefano

#soloshow #exibition #aterniger #aternigerproject #february2024 #ATERNIGER #BlackInArt #ChromaticExploration #AbstractArt #TheColorBlack #ArtisticExpression #ContemporaryPainting #MeaningsOfBlack #UrbanArt #AbstractInterpretations • ATERNIGER 2 exhibition, Bistrița-Năsăud Museum Complex. • Black is strong, silent, and elegant; it is matte black, glossy black, introspective, and mysterious. It is sober, balancing, and can be the starry sky on restful nights; black is a color that has undergone many changes over the centuries, as Michel Pastoureau noted. Black asserted itself as a color at the famous exhibition at the end of 1946 at the Maeght gallery in Paris, where 25 works by artists such as Pierre Bonnard, Henri Matisse, George Braque, Georges Rouault, Henry Van de Velde, Pierre Soulages, and others were exhibited. For me, it is a haiku, embodying all the meanings perceived through the eyes of the beholder. The ATERNIGER exhibition explores the depths and expressive dimensions of black, offering viewers a captivating journey through diverse stylistic approaches, placing them center stage, in the heart of the piece, or in the universe, exploring it. By integrating works done in a realistic style, I aimed to bring a personal and introspective element to the entire project. Thus, the realistic achievements become a window to my own self-representation, bringing to the forefront elements of identity and human experience that harmoniously merge with the abstract language of black. This juxtaposition creates a profound connection between abstract and real, inviting viewers to explore the subtle nuances of artistic expression in a vast spectrum of interpretations and emotions. In this dialogue, dynamic images are the connecting and transitioning element, elements from the real space that overlap and juxtapose, enveloping and unveiling urban exploration areas that have triggered over time in my conceptual and then real studio, today's project on display, entitled ATERNIGER.
