"A rather tough process, but I think it's definitely worth it" Entrepreneur Lukas Ambühl reflects on building Transcality, an ETH Zürich spin-off developing digital traffic replica for smart city planning. Learn more and get inspired: About: Transcality was co-founded by Sasan Amini, Lukas Ambühl, and Gabriel Tilg. In today's urbanized world, transportation networks are under growing strain from disruptive mobility concepts and rapid urbanization. The existing methods of real-time monitoring and infrastructure testing, relying on traditional data collection and complex engineering, have become cumbersome and cannot properly support the needs of planners and decision-makers. By harnessing the power of big data, cloud computing, machine learning, simulation, and automation, Transcality has created digital transportation twins which provide affordable, up-to-date, and highly adaptable products and services that seamlessly integrate into flexible transportation planning. The global transportation analytics market is estimated at USD 13 billion and is expected to exceed USD 28 billion by 2026. Over the next two years, Transcality’s primary objective is to advance its software-as-a-service digital twin products to support public authorities at all levels as well as private infrastructure operators and engineering firms in the planning and operation of modern transportation systems. Transcality’s key milestones include raising significant seed financing in Q1/2024 to complete the development of its web-based planning tool. This ambitious objective reflects its commitment to revolutionizing the planning and operation of transportation systems to encourage sustainable societies in the future. Transcality is a 2023 alumnus of all stages of Venture Kick. #VentureKick #SmartCities

Director - Technology Solutions Management (Pre-sales) | Cyberlaw | Writes "Thoughts viā Sustainability & Art" | Views are my own
I think the core of every architecture & design principle lies within the quote below: “Simplicity is the Ultimate Sophistication” Leonardo Da Vinci I wholeheartedly believe and apply the above in my POVs... The above philosophy is applicable in every state of human’s activities. It becomes more important when time and our values demand to think from sustainability perspectives. In the journey of human’s progress with technologies, we are experiencing change of our reference axes (no phones to mobile phones, no/low electricity to all time electricity & scarcity to abundance of things ..and so on..). For most of us, it has started changing our way of thinking by creating permanent psychological footprints that assume availability of many things by default. We also see in new generations and looks inevitable to continue. to contiune the reading click here -> https://lnkd.in/dnhYq4eg #genai #sustainability #simplification

What a great day at MIT Media Lab and C10 Labs. Nemetschek Group, 60 years in Software Industry based its long term differentiation on #entrepreneurship, #sciences and giving time to technologies to emerge. Those values based on commitment, patience and persistence resonated very much at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. I enjoyed yesterday panel discussion, "AI in the Built World: Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction" together with Jit Kee Chin, Jason Snyder, Kent Larson, Ramesh Raskar, Usman K. Shuja and our brilliant moderator Shahid Azim. My key take aways : - Embracing #AI without coupling with #sustainability would be a society mistake. #appliedAI can help architects, builders or facility managers to choose durable materials, better manage waste on construction fields and improve predictive modelling on energy consumption among many use cases. - No #AI adoption without education. We should remove fears, anxiety and create a safe environment for #aitechnology adoption through education and ethical transparency. On the top of the panel, I had an amazing discovery of @MIT City Sciences Living Lab, with Kent Larson and Luis Alberto Alonso Pastor. Their dedication to make a sustainable usage of the built world is impressive.
