What is the contract data you need access to but it's too big of a task to go through them one by one? Over at Contractbook, we're working on a couple free 'mini AI tools' for contract tasks - would love to hear your ideas for the roadmap. To illustrate, we recently launched https://lnkd.in/dU6X6bGb - it lets you import a contract & get a summary, potential risks, and negotiation areas. Based on real-life needs, we are now gathering ideas for 'bulk tasks', like: - Uploading a set of contracts and extracting/summarizing specific clauses (eg. I want to get discount terms from these 20 contracts) - Uploading a set of contracts and extracting line items (eg. I want to get products sold from these 20 order forms) Shoot them over to me or add in comments 👀

Business and Career Development Coach for Lawyers | Former Harvard Law School Advisor | 25-Year BigLaw Partner
Lawyers, and PDI and BD teams: I frequently hold forth on LinkedIn about the immense importance of business skills and knowledge. Lately, I've been working hard to develop tools to help my clients, colleagues, and friends learn about their clients' businesses and—just as critical—the industries in which they compete. Over the past week I experimented with ChatGPT and Claude, with high hopes they could build industry-focused lists of top curators and thought leaders on LinkedIn. This has proved far more difficult than I expected, given the LLMs' propensity for confident guessing and fabricating—errors that are tricky to catch. So... this morning, I found this terrific, altogether karmic post by Heather Stevenson, who offers a beautifully simple yet detailed prompt to use in designing a program to cultivate a business mindset in your law practice. (Heather's prompt is designed for in-house lawyers---but her advice is equally important for the lawyers who serve them.) I'll be trying it out today. I recommend following Heather here on LinkedIn if you don't already. #businessacumen #lawyers #businessdevelopment #AI

In a recent blog post I wrote, I talked about how it’s important to keep learning. Not too long ago, our records team decided to take turns doing small presentations about records management topics in our team meetings. The presenter can share about any related topic they choose. This week was my turn, so I decided to talk about electronic signatures. An electronic signature can be anything from a box you check online, typing your name in an email, to a signature in an encrypted site like DocuSign. My main take away from my mini research is what is considered an acceptable e-signature depends on the circumstances, parties, and related regulations. This article from 2020 is a quick overview of main concepts.
