“Be genuine, and be authentic.”
Spanx founder, Sara Blakely, didn’t follow the usual path of “annihilating the competition” when creating her now billion dollar company. She didn’t look at starting a business as going to war, but rather took an honest and level-headed approach, leading to her unequivocal success. This shows again and again—women founders do it right; women founders are the future.

Daring to Disagree: Why Speaking Up Matters in Leadership
This incredible video of Sara Blakely, founder of Spanx, sitting by a pool reflecting on her experience as a panelist with none other than Kevin O’Leary of Shark Tank. Kevin emphatically told the audience, “business is war,” emphasizing that fighting, competing, and winning was the way. What resonates with me most from this video is Sara’s courage to speak up, even when she was scared to death.
In leadership, whether you are a new manager or a C-suite executive, the ability to voice your ideas and concerns is a game-changer. It’s not just about having a seat at the table; it’s about making your presence felt.
What can we learn from Sara’s example?
1. Courage Over Comfort: Stepping out of your comfort zone is where growth happens.
2. Voice Your Vision: Your unique perspective could be the spark that ignites transformation.
3. Lead by Example: When leaders speak up, it empowers others to do the same.
As someone passionate about developing leaders, I believe this is a crucial skill we need to nurture. Let’s create environments where every voice is heard and valued! Together, we can build stronger, more resilient organizations.

Is this why female founders deliver better ROI to their investors?
Working to deliver better because of your customer, not your competition 👇🏼
One approach to business based on fear and fight…
🙏🏼 The other on true belief.
This is what bringing the feminine into business can achieve.
The old way vs the new way. And it's open to all genders and persuasions, fyi ;-).
And as a founder, I know which way I’d rather live ✨

Understand what your customers care about.
So you can focus on delivering real value.
Be authentic.
Be human-centric.
When you truly understand and connect with your customers, you'll find that loyalty and success follow naturally.
Nobody wants to go to war.
This is a great example of why we all need to speak up if we have a different perspective or a way to do things differently. You can build a business and be successful in more than one way. We all get to choose our own path.
There are key differentials how men and women approach situations and day to day business activities and operations.
What is your style? What is your approach?
Do you believe that winning in business should be by being at war?
For me the most important factors for winning results are:
> Taking care of your employees
> Taking care of your customers
> Providing the best product or service you can ever provide
> Making sure you listen to your customers and understanding your market and its shifts
> Staying ahead of the curve
> Be true to your vision
What are your thoughts on this matter.
Are you stuck believing you have to eliminate the competition?
What if you could have fun, add value, and help others generate funds all at once?
If this resonates with you, I have exactly what you've been looking for.
I invite you to join my upcoming Self-Publishing Challenge, where I'll guide you step-by-step through the process of getting P.A.I.D. Yes, I'll show you how to sell your story before you even finish writing it.
There's nothing more fulfilling than sharing your story, especially when your story can be the solution to someone else's struggle.

Couldn’t agree more! Focus on the right behavior and the right perspective - rather than the “war” and “competition”. I am fully convinced that knowledge and awareness about competition and the overall participating industry is important but the overall experience needs to be around what we can do the best for ourselves and by ourselves. One of the philosophies that I have always coined with my inner self is that “one needs to compare to oneself and not others around”. Following the concept of “Better than Before” sets a limitless benchmark and an infinite possibility of performing to the superlative front always.
