Additive Manufacturing (AM) or 3D printing is a revolutionary technology that allows Designers and Inventors to create anything they can imagine. Additive Manufacturing works by depositing material layer by layer and shaping the layers into a solid and durable object from its original form of powders and binder materials. This technology enables the creation of complex and innovative items with fewer limitations on geometry. However, 3D printing technology is not as simple as it sounds. It requires a good understanding of how to transform a solid model into a functional part with the desired properties. Our Team has expertise in both Additive and Subtractive Manufacturing to produce and fabricate items with high-quality finishes. BTEC can help you integrate new 3D Printing Technology with traditional manufacturing methods to give you the best of both worlds. #AdditiveManufacturing #3DPrintingRevolution #DesignAndInnovation #LayerByLayer #PowdersAndBinderMaterials #ComplexAndInnovative #GeometryLimitations #TransformSolidModel #FunctionalParts #DesiredProperties #ExpertiseInManufacturing #HighQualityFinishes #IntegratingTechnology #BestOfBothWorlds

✓ As new technologies like additive manufacturing - 3D printing emerge, how can established processes like fineblanking adapt and innovate to remain competitive? ✓ In my experience, the two processes serve different purposes. ✓ 3D printing excels at creating prototypes, specialized tools, and intricate custom parts. At the moment, 3D printing is not economically competitive at all. ✓ However, for high-volume production of parts, fineblanking remains unbeatable due to its cost-effectiveness. ✓ We use 3D printing during the prototyping stage to rapidly visualize components. ✓ However, for the dynamically stressed components found in drivetrains, fineblanking is the clear choice for its superior strength and reliability. ✓ What are your thoughts? How can we best leverage new and established technologies in manufacturing? #manufacturing #innovation #prototyping #fineblanking #3dprinting
