In 2015, HPV-related oropharyngeal cancer (base of tongue/throat/tonsils) became the #1 HPV cancer in the US, surpassing incidents of cervical cancer—five years before predicted. There are many HPV cancer survivors who will not reveal the HPV connection. One man whom I interviewed chose not to tell his family; his grandchildren remain unvaccinated.
