Ah, you see, there's a method to my happiness at work! Rule 3 keeps me going. When you're in a bad mood, it doesnt matter if it's because of others at work or simply because you woke up late. People don't know you woke up late, so by nature they'll assume it's them, even though it's not. That's how much our moods can affect others. Think about the next time you're running late/have a flat on the way to work, etc. Sure, it sucks, but what does being in a bad mood do? Being in a good mood leads to being awesome. Being awesome leads to more good moods. And helping others do the same? Immeasurable.

I 100% agree with this. I have taken on the role of "Moral Office Manager," aka more affectionately (by some of my younger colleagues) "MOM." I truly believe that making others happy, healthy, and successful is in my nature. I think that while it's important to focus on excelling in your career and doing your job well, what really sets apart a good day from a great one is employee engagement. I mean, who wants to spend 40 hours a week in a place where they feel unappreciated, ignored, or disregarded, right? That's why I always try to come up with fun activities outside of work to engage my colleagues. Whether it's decorating for holidays, giving out random little pick-me-ups, or acknowledging birthdays, I'm always looking for ways to bring a smile to everyone's face. But most importantly, I love getting to know all my colleagues and finding out more about them than just what they do for the organization. #employeeengagment #employeemorale
