Winter, spring, summer or fall… Nope. It’s CONSTRUCTION SEASON! If you’re a regular traveler over the Donner Pass i80, prepare yourself! Watch video for the TLDR shorter version Here’s the advisory from Cal Trans Up to Two-Hour Delays Possible Between Colfax and Nevada State Line PLACER/NEVADA/SIERRA COUNTIES — Caltrans is alerting motorists of the potential for extended delays along Interstate 80 (I-80) stretching between Colfax to the Nevada state line as several projects and emergency repairs get underway for the 2024 construction season. Once all projects are active, delays across the corridor may reach up to a maximum of two hours. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes, if possible, to help reduce any potential delays. The schedule is subject to change or be delayed due to weather, availability of materials or other unexpected events. Crews are returning to the same areas as last year for emergency wheel rut repairs and concrete slab replacements. Work is currently underway within Location 1 between Colfax and Alta. Additional work within Locations 2 and 3 are expected to resume next week, followed by Locations 4 and 5 by the end of the April.

Lots of roadworks & closures either in place or scheduled around Camberley, Bagshot & the surrounding areas. Canine-Walkies will endeavour to try and keep to normal timings but sometimes pickups & collections might be delayed. "Red dots indicate long delays are expected at times, Yellow dots indicate possible delays and Green dots indicate work is going on but not expected to cause delays. Please note dates and the amount of work may vary due to circumstances. - M3 Junction 3 ACCESS SLIP ROAD CLOSURES from 18th March for joint replacements, white lining and more...from 18th March onwards - M3 northbound Jct 4a to M3/M25 Interchange CARRIAGEWAY CLOSURES for major improvement work.27th March to 12th April - Bagshot Bypass (A322) - LANE CLOSURE for Safety Camera work 25th to 26th March - London Road (A30) Camberley Lights for Tree Work 3rd April 09:000 to 16:00 - The Avenue - ROAD CLOSED for gas main replacement work to 19th July - diversion via A30 and Frimley Road. - Blackwater Valley Road (A331) - LANE CLOSURE for 33KV repair to 1st April - Woodway ROAD CLOSED for SE Water work 19th to 22nd Future Works: - Frimley Road future resurfacing work is planned between April and October - London Road Camberley future resurfacing work is planned between April and October - The Maultway - future resurfacing work is planned between January and July - Wimbledon Rd - future resurfacing work is planned between April and October Dates, timings and extent of works can vary due to circumstances N.B. Gas Mains replacement work is mandatory in accordance with legislation due to the serious hazards involved with ageing gas infrastructure and trenches for gas work are normally left open for some time to allow gas to escape and check for leaks."

🚧 Road Construction Alert 🚧 What? Road construction and traffic pattern change. Where? Eastbound lanes of Miller Road between Saturn Rd. and Edgefield Dr. When? Starting March 11 Why? Contractors will close both eastbound lanes. The westbound lanes will be converted into a two-lane road (one lane going east, one lane going west). This traffic pattern is expected to last about three months. Work will then switch over to the other side. Expect that traffic pattern to last another three months. Please plan accordingly. #GarlandTX

REMINDER: Barricades are installed in work zones for the safety of construction crews and the traveling public. These "Road Closed to Thru Traffic" signs imply that drivers cannot get from one end to the other end of the project without encountering construction activities and potentially impassable operations. For vehicles that do not have an origin or destination inside the work zone, follow the detour route. If you live within the project boundaries or are trying to reach a local business, please use the shortest access point available. Please pay attention to road closure signs and barricades and do not attempt to drive around them.

Plan ahead: #NewYorkRoad tunnel closure for essential maintenance from 12 February. #NewYorkRoadTunnel, located just outside the #LeedsCityCentre and on Leeds #InnerRingRoad, will close to all vehicles on Monday 12 February until the autumn to enable essential maintenance of the #NewYorkRoadFlyover. #LeedsCityCouncil along with construction partner #BalfourBeatty will carry out repair works and replace 27 bearings on #NewYorkRoadFlyover. Bearing replacement on the flyover is a vital process, that whilst only completed generally every 25-50 years, is essential to ensure the serviceable life of the flyover is maintained and subsequently this section of the flyover can remain open in the long term. Modern bridges are designed to make future bearing replacement straight forward. However older bridges, such as the #NewYorkRoadFlyover, require substantial temporary works with heavy equipment including temporary foundations to support the bridge at each bearing. Passenger rail in Santa Cruz County Summer 2024: The first round of conceptual plans are expected, including possible train vehicle types. Fall 2024: Refined plans are expected, including possible locations for stations and maintenance facilities. Winter 2025: A draft concept report with preliminary cost estimates and environmental review is expected. A 2020 report estimated a $478 million price tag for construction of a commuter rail line.
