Concrete pours are always a huge milestone on every project, a culmination of so many different trade’s hard work. Here, Ames Construction is hard at work pouring 100+ CY of concrete at the Historic Alameda & I-25 Bridge over the South Platte River. Concrete pours are an incredibly labor-intensive part of any project with typically one of the largest on-site manpower days of the project. From the orders coming in at the batch plants, to delivery drivers, to testers, to QA/QC inspectors, to placers and then finishers, there are a lot of men and women who make the concrete we walk on happen. Despite being such a labor-intensive day, it’s nothing but smiles on site. We love what we do. We tip our hats to the incredibly high standards, professionalism, and safety, that the Ames Construction crews and Colorado Department of Transportation crews show on site every day to make sure the project gets done right and that everyone gets to come home safe. #construction #constructionmanagement #constructionlife #concrete #concretepour #denver #safety #safetyfirst

During a 🏠 home inspection, buyers typically hire an inspector to do a thorough evaluation of the property’s condition and any potential 😕issues. They want to ensure that major systems such as electrical, 👨🔧 plumbing, and HVAC are in good working order, check for structural integrity, identify any safety concerns, and assess the overall 🛠️ maintenance of the property. This may be done all in one 🧐inspection, or the buyer may hire different professionals to perform different tasks such as a 🚽sewer scope or mold test. #realtortips #whattoexpect #whataretheylookingfor

The Scaffold Inspector issued a red tag due to non-compliance with the PE design for the Elevated Water Tank, citing the following issues: 1) The gap between scaffolds must be 915mm or lower, but the subcontractor installed 1100mm between scaffolds. 2) On levels 2 to 3, the subcontractor did not connect using a joint pin. Initially, the instruction was to ask the scaffolder to erect and install it back based on the PE design, which seemed like an easy task. However, complications arose when management started pushing for progress. The pressure escalated when the Site Manager asked, 'Safety, can't you adjust lor?' 😂 The response was, 'No, it's unsafe considering the condition of the concrete and the load it needs to hold’.
