A Rocket Assisted Zero-Length Launch System (RZL) is a method used to launch aircraft, particularly military fighter jets, without the need for a traditional runway. In this system, rockets are attached to the aircraft, providing the necessary thrust for takeoff. The launch takes place from a specially designed platform, allowing the aircraft to take off vertically or with an extremely short ground roll. RZL systems are advantageous in confined spaces, such as aircraft carriers or small airfields, where a full runway is unavailable or impractical. By utilizing rocket assistance, these launches enable military aircraft to achieve the required takeoff speed quickly and efficiently, enhancing operational flexibility and strategic deployment options for defense forces.

President/Executive Board Member at Armite Lubricants®. Military & Industrial Grade Lubricants, Anti-Seizes, etc. AS9100/ISO-9001Certified. DoD CMMC 2.0 Compliant & Sandstrum Law LLC, a Business Law Firm.
Am I close or right regarding the image below? The image depicts a U.S. Navy aircraft carrier and two fighter jets flying in close formation over the ocean. The aircraft carrier appears to be one of the America-class amphibious assault ships, identifiable by its smaller size compared to supercarriers and the distinctive island and ski-jump used for launching short take-off and vertical landing (STOVL) aircraft. The jet in the foreground is an F-35B Lightning II, the STOVL variant of the Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II family, designed to operate from shorter decks like those on amphibious assault ships. Its capabilities are characterized by the humpback design where the lift fan is located, which allows it to hover and perform vertical landings. The jet in the background is an F/A-18 Hornet, a twin-engine supersonic, all-weather carrier-capable multirole combat jet, designed as both a fighter and attack aircraft (hence the F/A designation). It is distinguishable by its twin tails and the position of the air intakes on the sides of the fuselage. The above assessments are based on visible characteristics, without specific markings or more detailed views, definitive identification can be challenging. #USMilitary #USNavy #USAirforce #USArmedForces #DoD #industriallubricants #MRO #OEM

It was great to see so many military vehicles during the Armed Forces Day celebrations. Throughout history, military vehicles have changed dramatically, but a few crucial things have stayed the same: ✅Reliability and durability – military vehicles must withstand the rigors of combat environments, including exposure to extreme weather conditions, heavy loads and impacts from rough terrain. ✅Mobility and off-road capability – they need to have robust off-road capabilities, enabling them to traverse deserts, forests, mountains and urban environments efficiently and at speed. ✅Precision and responsiveness – military vehicles often operate in high-stakes situations where precise and responsive steering is vital. Control systems must enable quick and accurate manoeuvring to navigate difficult terrain, avoid obstacles and execute tactical movements efficiently. South African Military Vehicles in War Thunder War Thunder is a highly realistic battle game where players can choose from a number of armoured vehicles, tanks, ships, helicopters and planes represented for different countries. The player chooses a country and vehicle type, and works their way up from tier 1, progressing to higher tier vehicles as they gain battle experience. The vehicles are incredibly detailed and have characteristics that are closely resemble their real-world counterparts. An exception is often the premium vehicles that can be bought as they can have some enhanced features e.g. slightly faster turret rotation speed than the real-world vehicle. But each online battle tries to match players and similar vehicle tiers to ensure good game play. I mentioned briefly in the video about World of Tanks which is another ve ...continues See https://lnkd.in/dgzWVgJA

#whatsitwednesday - is a heliport a vertiport or a vertiport a heliport? The first official use or the word vertiport dates back to the Federal Aviation Administration's AC 150/5390-3 - Vertiport Design issued on 1991-05-31, in anticipation or the first civilian tiltrotor aircraft. The first vertiport to open following the issueing of the AC, was the Dallas CBD Vertiport at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas in 1994. While it mostly caters for helicopters, military V-22 aircraft do use the facility for exercises and conventions. Image: Archer 's proposed Oyster Point vertiport.

What has been longly rumoured has finally become reality. Following the derailment of the negotiations to procure Leopard 2A8 MBTs from #KNDS, the Italian firm #Leonardo turned to the German #Rheinmetall to develop the Italian next land systems. Today, the two firms signed a MoU to establish a new 50:50 joint venture aimed at developing a new generation of land vehicles for the Italian Army’s ground systems programs, namely the highly anticipated new Main Battle Tank (which does not seem to coincide 100% with the already-known version of Rheinmetall’s #PANTHER) and the innovative #Lynx Platform for the Armoured Infantry Combat System (AICS). Both are intended for the Italian Army (#EI) but developed with an international export perspective (not a secondary aspect). Equally importantly, the developed technologies will constitute the base for designing the future European Main Ground Combat System (MGCS) and the new versions dedicated to international export.
