At HSBC, we check about 1.2 billion transactions for signs of financial crime each month – we’re using artificial intelligence (AI) to help us do this. AI is helping us find and tackle financial crime faster and more thoroughly than ever before, says Jennifer Shasky Calvery, Group Head of Financial Crime Risk and Compliance, HSBC. https://grp.hsbc/604654ALj #HSBC #AI #ArtificialIntelligence #FinancialCrime

Great that you are continuing your fight against financial crime. However you forget the "crime" that HSBC continues to impose on over 50k of its own UK pensioners. Clawback, as you apply it, hits the lowest paid the most. These are mainly women. Thus you are indirectly discriminatory. This is an outdated and immoral practice, mainly continued by a few wealthy companies that could, like you, stop it tomorrow. Time to do the right thing and stop pension clawback. #HSBC #hsbcuk #midlandbank #clawback #fightingforgfairness

I have been a customer of HSBC for many years. I never had an issue with them . They gave me the best rates for my personal investments . Auto deposits were right on time. Unfortunately HSBC is no longer in Canada as of April of this year. . HSBC sold their Canadian banks to RBC . I truly miss banking with HSBC . All banks have their flaws, but I never had errors from HSBC . Nice to hear HSBC is taking extra steps for protection

It’s unbelievable that a company held in such high regard by some can behave in such a way to their former staff. We were stitched up, no explanations given. Even managers who I consulted didn’t understand the real impact of clawback. Affects lower paid, mostly women and part time staff the most. I lose almost 30% of my very poor pension. Shameful! Time to act with courageous integrity.

Impressive strides by HSBC in leveraging AI to enhance financial crime detection! Given the complexity of AI models, understanding the rationale behind their decisions is crucial. How does HSBC ensure transparency and explainability in its AI system to build trust with regulators and customers?

This further signifies the benefits of AI, and the companies early to embrace and adopt it will surely drive positive change in their industry and society as a whole.

Excellent initiative and I am sure this will provide some level of reassurance to those who are nervous of how AI will affect them now and in the future.
