This week is Brake Safety Week, so let's ensure your vehicles are prepared with our comprehensive brake safety checklist: ✔️ Examine for missing, non-functioning, cracked, or loose parts. ✔️ Inspect for potential S-cam flipovers. ✔️ Check for missing, worn, or cracked linings or pads. ✔️ Look for air leaks around brake components. ✔️ Review the tractor protection system and trailer bleed-back system. ✔️ Confirm air pressure is maintained between 90-100 psi. ✔️ Test the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), malfunction lamps, and low air pressure warning devices. ✔️ Ensure the trailer’s breakaway system functions correctly. ✔️ Inspect for holes, rust due to friction, and any broken springs in the parking brake section. ✔️ Verify that slack adjusters are uniformly aligned and that air chambers on each axle are consistently sized. 🚗 Drive with peace of mind knowing your brakes are set for the road.
