THE RISE OF TATA AIG - case study In the recent interview of MD Neelesh Garg (in Times of India), he emphasized the ambition to become a market leader (currently it is ICICI Lombard in the pvt segment) and achieve $ 100 mill. in profits. Lets take a look at the profit after tax (PAT). 👉 TATA AIG 'break-even' in FY13 (chart below), again had a rough year in FY16 & FY19. 👉 They have a strong share of marine and travel insurance, in comparison to the industry favorites - retail health & motor. 👉 The Profit after tax has been quite uneven but the bounce in PAT has been huge esp. in FY17 & FY20. 👉 If T-AIG plans to list, they may have to answer the uneven growth & no major bank partner (like Lombard or Ergo). Kapoor v/s Kapoor Yesteryears' top actor Rishi Kapoor has a remarkable list of successful films to his credit, including "Bobby," "Chandni," "Karz," "Sharmaji Namkeen," "Sargam," "Sagar," and many more. Similarly, the charismatic Jitendra, known as the "jumping jack," enjoyed immense success with hits like "Himmatwala," "Tohfa," "Caravan," "Jani Dushman," "Parichay," "Sanjog," "The Burning Train," and others. In Bollywood, it's often expected that sons follow in their fathers' footsteps, continuing the family legacy in the industry. However, the career paths of their children have taken quite different trajectories. Rishi Kapoor’s son, Ranbir Kapoor, has become a superstar, consistently delivering box office hits such as "Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani," "Animal," "Rockstar," "Barfi," "Wake Up Sid," and "Rocket Singh." His success seems unending. On the other hand, Jitendra’s son, Tushaar Kapoor, also ventured into the film industry. Despite his best efforts, he struggled to find his footing, with one flop after another. Jitendra tried hard to boost Tushaar’s career but eventually had to accept the reality that Bollywood might not be Tushaar’s calling. As an insurance professional, I often draw analogies from various sectors. In this case, who should have definitely invested in a good life insurance child plan? When your child is young, as a parent, you can only hope for the best future for them. But uncertainties are always present. Investing in a child insurance plan is a wise step to secure your child's future, regardless of the career path they choose. It provides financial support for their education, career pursuits, or even in times of unforeseen challenges. Ensuring that your child has a safety net in place is essential. Just like in the contrasting stories of Ranbir and Tushaar Kapoor, having a robust child insurance plan can make a significant difference in navigating the unpredictable journey of life. #ChildInsurance #InsuranceAwareness #FinancialPlanning #SecureFuture #ParentingTips #RanbirKapoor #TushaarKapoor #BollywoodLessons #InvestmentPlanning #LifeInsurance #FinancialSecurity

🚨 Beware of Unfair Practices 🚨 As a concerned spouse, I feel compelled to share my wife’s recent experience with Tata Motors Finance. Despite the Supreme Court's clear judgement against charging interest on interest during the loan moratorium period amid Covid, she has been overcharged by Tata Motors Finance. The worst part, they don’t have any answer despite repeated emails to the customer care. Such actions are disheartening, especially coming from reputable entities like the Tata Group. This blatant disregard for consumer rights is unacceptable. It's crucial for everyone to be aware of such malpractices by financial institutions. Let's stand together to hold companies accountable for their actions and protect consumer rights. #ConsumerAwareness #FairFinance #TataMotorsFinance

Was a pleasure to share my thoughts on DEI at the 4th India Diversity Forum. Thanks for inviting me. Let's create an environment in our organizations where diverse perspectives are encouraged, discussed and evaluated on merit! While the conventional #DEI definition is important as we move forward and build the largest workforce in the world in India, the below is what we need to focus on in the context that Humans should no longer be treated as Resources, but as Resourceful! - Diversity - create an environment for Diverse Thoughts, Opinions and Ideas to thrive in your companies - Equity - keep the hierarchy only for decision making. For everything else, #InvertThePyramid and make the frontline that does the work the focus of the organization - Inclusion - bring in the Society and other key stakeholders into your way of strategy & decision making. Engage and involve your broader teams, and create an environment where your employees not just being their Bodies to work, but also Minds & Hearts to work #campustalks #careerwars #leadership #career #careergrowth #management #mentoring #leadershipdevelopment
