I came across this website today. As an expert appraiser, I've encountered various approaches to valuation disputes. One area that demands attention is how compensation structures can impact the impartiality and legality of the appraisal process. If an appraiser charges a percentage of the award or “new money,” they become an interested party. This can lead to conflicts of interest and potentially violate the terms of the insurance policy.
