A lot of pre-AI companies are scared about competing with AI startups. Just got off a demo call with Pitchbook. I am totally shocked and disappointed by them. They considered us, a tiny two-person startup, as a competitor and refused to show me any demo. They were supposed to demonstrate their value, regardless of the kind of product I am building. If we can build something in a few months that threatens the survival of a 15-year-old and well-established company, either they are doing something terribly wrong, or we are doing something exceptionally right. #startups #ai #ml #fundraising

"A social enterprise start up is like any start up" was our key take-away from this 'coachella of startups' we had the privilege to attend the last 2 days. While it exists fundamentally to do good, it still faces the same challenges for its founders: funding and partnerships, building resilience, defining boundaries, the role of AI, role of charisma vs competence for founders as they grow, etc!
