There's a lot going on this week that reminds me that clear communication with your donors and supporters is critical, especially when there are immediate needs. At Los Angeles Center for Law and Justice, #DomesticViolence Awareness Month is now. For many organizations, a month like this can be, like for LACLJ, their biggest fundraising month of the year. We're ready to let everyone know why now is the time to donate, and what that means for survivors. For Central American Resource Center - Los Angeles (CARECEN-LA), CHIRLA, and Immigrant Defenders Law Center, they are on the front lines of continual buses arriving to Los Angeles from Texas filled with refugees and immigrants, many whom are terrified. These organizations are swamped with doing what they do, serving immigrants and refugees, plus now welcoming hundreds who are arriving from Texas. Their needs are endless. [EMPOWERING FRIENDS TO FLOURISH] We’re delighted to kick off our end-of-year campaign, Empowering Friends to Flourish. It’s time to ensure we can support refugees for years to come! We are receiving more inquiries than ever, all the while, small non-profits like us are experiencing a decline in donations that is happening across the nation. We are no exception and are feeling the impact. If we want to see friends flourish long-term, we must be able to journey with them for the long haul.
