Two years ago, I was a Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Metro DC’s Finest Honoree. This year, I’m continuing to support the fight against Cystic Fibrosis as a Committee member, and I need your support! Here's why I'm fundraising for the CF Foundation: Research Funding: CFF supports cutting-edge research aimed at finding effective treatments and a cure for cystic fibrosis (CF). Five years ago, the revolutionary medication Trikafta was approved by the FDA. Trikafta has improved the lives of at least 90% of the US population with CF. Patient Support: Your donation helps provide resources and support for individuals and families affected by CF, including access to specialized care. Advocacy: CFF works to advocate for policies that improve the quality of life for those with CF and ensure access to essential medications and therapies. Community Building: Donations help create a strong community where patients and families can connect, share experiences, and find support. Hope for the Future: By contributing, you're part of a movement that fosters hope and drives innovation, helping to change lives for those with CF, as roughly 10% of the population doesn't benefit from Trikafta. Each person with CF deserves to live a long and fulfilling life! https://lnkd.in/eXdxwvpF

Can't believe it's been 7 whole weeks since I started 30 Under 30! And 2 weeks since my 27th birthday! While the new friends and professional development are a huge bonus, the most important and fulfilling part of this program is fundraising for Cystic Fibrosis Foundation - Tennessee Chapter. It would mean the world to me to see you at one of my upcoming events (June 18th happy hour at Ole Smoky or the celebration on August 10th!), but I would be especially grateful if you would donate to my campaign and help me reach my $5,000 fundraising goal. Might I suggest $30 to celebrate my Top 30 Under 30 status or $27 for my 27th? Maybe $300 to celebrate the fact that I have 3 more years of being under 30 left? Some more info on CF and the foundation: Nearly 40,000 people in the United States have cystic fibrosis: a progressive, genetic disease that affects the lungs, pancreas, and other organs. Sixty years ago, children with CF usually did not live long enough to attend elementary school. Today, because of Foundation-supported research and care, the median survival age of people with CF is over 50. Working alongside the CF community, the CF Foundation has fostered the development of more than a dozen CF treatments and helped add decades of life for people with CF. Yet, many people with CF do not benefit from existing therapies. Our vision is a cure for every person with cystic fibrosis – a life free from the burden of this disease – and we will not leave anyone behind.

I am being honored by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation at a special event recognizing outstanding professionals in my community. In accepting this distinction, I have committed to raise money to help the Foundation realize its mission of curing cystic fibrosis (CF) and providing all people with CF the opportunity to lead long, fulfilling lives. My personal goal is to raise over $10,000 to help CF stand for Cure Found. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated. If you are unable to donate financially, please pass my campaign along to your friends, family, and coworkers. Please help me meet my fundraising goal by making a donation. By supporting my fundraising efforts, you have an opportunity in your lifetime to be part of ending this disease. Please consider joining us and help make medical history.
