It's getting critical! Because our »Streuspanne-Lexikon« continues with the entry – »K« for »critical values« in German »Kritische Werte«. 📊 They show whether an effect is due to chance or is actually significant. 🧐 Critical values help to evaluate the significance of static results. To determine critical values, we pretend that only chance is acting and then determine extreme marginal events that are very rare. Imagine we flip a coin ten times and it lands nine times on heads and once on tails. Sounds unusual, doesn't it? 🤔🎲 What does this mean for the critical values? This and more is explained briefly and concisely by our Streuspanne team in the new lexicon entry, take a look: https://lnkd.in/eaHg8PND We also compare the critical values with the p-values. 📈 If you'd rather find out more about p-values right away, we recommend our detailed scatterplot episode »p-values – Not the Last Word in Wisdom«: https://lnkd.in/eB66j8dm [Our podcast is only available in German.] #Podcast #Statistics #Mathematics #Streuspanne

At ALX we're convinced that work is a good gift from God. In episode 12 of the ALX podcast, Patrick Dunne, Jr. explored this refreshing, biblical perspective on the purpose of work. From the beginning of creation, the purpose was for mankind to steward the earth in service to God and all creation. This foundational idea suggests that work was meant to be a collaborative effort with a higher purpose, not just a means to survive. Today, work often feels purposeless or merely a necessity. However, the original design was for work to be an act of service, drawing us closer to God. It was meant to be a way to walk with God through our daily tasks. This episode challenges us to rethink our approach to work and see it as an opportunity to connect with God and his purposes. How can we reframe our daily tasks to align with this original intent? Join the conversation and explore this thought-provoking perspective on the ALX Show: https://lnkd.in/gZFib7wT
