Pecan trees can sometimes take over ten years to produce any good fruit. 10 YEARS. Are we willing to put this kind of long term effort into our work, our relationships, our self? I want the quick wins, the fast results, and often move on to the next thing if something isn't producing. But hey, if that were the case here, I'd be missing out on one of my favorite desserts. Plant. Nurture. Persist. Wait. You don't pull on a plant to make it grow faster. You have to wait. Growing takes time. But it's an active waiting. Put in the daily nurture that the desired fruit needs. Pecan Pie is definitely worth the long game. #lawofthefarm
