Some great news for the agricultural community... You can now apply for an Improving Farm Productivity grant. Part of the Farming Investment Fund, the Improving Farm Productivity grant is open to farmers, growers and related contractors. It will pay for capital items to improve farm and horticulture productivity through: 🌞 The installation of solar equipment to increase both energy resilience and the take-up of renewable energy generation on farms 🤖 The use of robotic and automated equipment and systems to aid crop and livestock production With a large proportion of our work done in the agricultural sector, we see the impact that solar has in the industry. Not only does a solar PV system reduce the high energy costs associated with running a farm, it also helps reduce operational expenses, allowing farmers to reinvest those savings back into their businesses. Innovative Agri-Photovoltaics Project in Bruttig-Fankel Integrates Solar Energy and Sustainable Livestock Grazing on a Large Scale The municipality of Bruttig-Fankel in the Cochem-Zell district near the Moselle River is set to host a groundbreaking agri-photovoltaics project that will integrate photovoltaic energy generation with livestock grazing on a large scale. This innovative initiative will feature high, fixed solar module tables that allow cows to graze underneath.
