Weight loss tip of the week. Why is willpower not the key to effective weight loss ? Two reasons : 1. ' Food' manufacturers create fake foods which are deliberately created to be addictive and no amount of willpower will stop us from desiring these 'foods'. 2. Willpower and calorie restriction go hand in hand. The fewer calories consumed the better the weight loss results, irrespective of the dire health consequences. Eventually calorie intake is so low it's dangerous but the deeply flawed C. I. C. O. model leaves no alternative. So what do we do? Eat. Oh yes. We eat. Real, appropriate food.
