Casa Milà, also known as La Pedrera, is one of Antoni Gaudí’s most celebrated architectural works, completed in 1912. A True Pioneer in Design 🌿 The Endless Stair was a collaboration between the London Design Festival and AHEC, using American tulipwood in a groundbreaking application of CLT (Cross Laminated Timber). This towering installation, inspired by Escher's iconic drawings, pushed the boundaries of what’s possible with hardwood. Designed by dRMM and engineered by Arup, the project showcased the potential of tulipwood—a sustainable, abundant, and structurally impressive American hardwood—as a viable alternative to traditional softwoods used in CLT.
