What is the percentage of #spinalfusion surgeries failing to relieve low back and leg pain? 40%. Neuromodulation therapy is a validated treatment for neuropathic pain, but a means of stimulating the nerves directly in combination with the established TLIF procedure had never been attempted in a clinical trial. After developing the concept, the team built an extensive IP portfolio encompassing more than 80 international patents that cover both the proprietary stimulation device and the procedure to implant it. Founded in 2018 by Justin Zenanko, Nazmi Peyman, MD, and Gregory F. Molnar, PhD, SynerFuse was born from the idea that residual pain that persists after a spinal fusion should be treated at the time of the procedure so patients don’t have to restart the entire pain therapy cycle.
