At Huhtamaki, we believe in equality and that everyone should be able to bring their whole self to work. We are continuously nurturing a workplace that values diversity, equity and inclusion and promotes a sense of belonging for all employees. This month our Global Executive Team members Salla Ahonen, EVP Sustainability & Communications and Ingolf Thom, EVP of HR and Safety shared their views on the importance and benefits of fostering an inclusive culture via a panel discussion during our annual Global Week(s) of Learning. Here are the key points our leaders shared: 👉 Diversity makes us stronger: A safe and inclusive environment allows us to be our most authentic selves, fulfill our potential, and achieve great results. 👉 Everyone is unique: we are individuals and need to be treated as such. 👉 Inclusion is not just a buzzword – it is about creating an authentic culture of fairness and equality and making sure that everyone has equal treatment and opportunities. In addition to creating awareness on Pride and topics that impact our employees, we have firmly embedded inclusion into our 2030 strategy, published DE&I guiding principles and continuously promote the importance of DE&I as part of our Code of Conduct. By taking these small but important steps, we can make a consistent way forward towards creating a work environment where everyone can thrive. #pride #diversity #inclusion
