Last week I shared on the difference of Events Planning and Events Management.

It is widely acknowledged that #MICE refers to various types of events within the market. However, in recent years, the industry has introduced SE – #Special #Events – to this list.
For those unfamiliar with the #terminology, M denotes #Meetings, I stands for #Incentives, C represents #Conventions or #Conferences, and E signifies #Exhibitions.
The inclusion of Special Events is warranted due to the nature of these #larger-#scale gatherings, such as the Formula 1 races, the Olympics, the World Cup, National Day Celebrations, Rallies, Elections, and more.
Some event professionals also categorize #Private #Events, including Weddings and Anniversaries, under Special Events.
As a result, it is evident that Special Events do not conform to the traditional definition of MICE. Nevertheless, whether referring to MICE or Special Events, events can broadly be defined as occurrences, particularly those of significance.
