Today marks the 33rd anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act! While Americans with disabilities have made progress toward #inclusion, work still needs to be done to reach true #equality. The #ADA laid the groundwork for the Convention on the Rights of People with Disabilities (#CRPD), which is helping people with disabilities around the world to exercise their #HumanRights. New displacement orders issued by Israeli authorities have forced another mass movement of families and humanitarian workers from areas in Deir al-Balah. At least 24 NGOs—including Humanity & Inclusion—have reported impacts from orders in the past week. With northern #Gaza decimated and southern Gaza largely inaccessible, civilians, aid workers, and critically needed humanitarian operations now have nowhere left to go.
