The first slate of AI tv shows are being released on a new platform called Showrunner. What's available now is downright bad and feels like cheap copies of existing shows (South Park for example). But the idea is not so much to score with originals, but rather to offer a platform that allows users to make their own shows. Not sure this specific platform will have a lot of traction - I rather think users will adopt these tools and then upload shows to the existing social video platforms. https://lnkd.in/eH44F77J

Love this. I think the question is. Could AI first simulate the full range of complex human emotions? If the answer is yes, the next question is can you develop an avatar that has a human back story filled with all the stories that humans have that help define who they are? (Not unlike character development in a movie). If the answer is yes, then do you believe the complexity of human emotion + the depth of human back story + the most efficient way to gather insights (ai) can create something unique in a way that feels human? If the answer is is yes, there will be avatar tv anchors on linear broadcast. (Bonus thought, if you believe linear broadcast will decline in its relevance, won’t there will be more incentive to create these avatar anchors on these traditional brands?) Something to discuss in a future ON_Discourse issue?
