The story behind why I started Kosmik 🧑🚀 When I was a kid, I begged my parents for my own computer. When they said no, my uncle gave me an old Atari from the 1980s. That Atari was the beginning of everything. It started a lifelong obsession with user interface metaphors and the history of computing, which is when I stumbled across a software called Hypercard. It was the first time I was introduced to the concept of interactive documents. Basically, the idea was that you didn't need to use separate applications for things like writing, drawing, etc.  Fast forwarding many years later, I got my first job out of college in a movie production studio. I saw how heavy & time-consuming the creative workflow around video editing was, and came up with the idea for a software designed specifically for creative people – a tool that could help them think through ideas, create mood boards, storyboards, etc. I told my boss at the time about my idea and he did something I didn't expect. He told me it wasn't stupid, gave me a few thousand Euros, and put me up in an office to start Kosmik. The goal was to create a software that would empower creatives and simplify their workflows. For a long time, my first boss remained our only investor and supporter. Even though so many years have passed, I still lean on him today as a pillar of guidance. We owe him the life of the company. TL;DR: my love for computers + frustrations from my first creative job + an amazing first boss led to the creation of Kosmik 🧑🚀 🚀
