A garden untouched by wildlife isn't part of the ecosystem. However, be wise and kind to our planet by embracing organic farming, native plants, flowers, grasses, trees and shrubs, which foster biodiversity and provide essential sustenance and shelter for local wildlife. Take Hibiscus, for example, which attracts nectar-feeding birds, bees and pollinators. Learn how to cultivate an eco-friendly garden.👇 https://lnkd.in/dtADfYmK

On the first Saturday of September, we celebrate International Vulture Awareness Day (IVAD), a global event dedicated to highlighting the plight of the world's most endangered birds. Launched in South Africa and the United Kingdom in September 2009, this initiative aims to shift perceptions about vultures, which are often misunderstood and unfairly judged. These incredible birds, despite their associations with death, are vital to maintaining ecological balance. As the only land-dwelling obligate scavengers, vultures play a crucial role in our environment, offering significant ecological and societal benefits. https://lnkd.in/e_XNb5kW

Over recent decades, the wild open spaces of KwaZulu-Natal have gradually degraded due to large-scale commercial farming, leaving behind fragmented islands of biodiversity such as the Greater Ukuwela Nature Reserve. The best people to protect the land are those who live there, and that’s why our partner Wild Tomorrow is restoring the balance with nature to the nearby local communities. Learn about the incredible efforts of the local communities employed by Wild Tomorrow, tasked to protect and maintain the GUNR in our latest news article: https://ow.ly/13cL50RVLyi

While birds go about their daily activities, they contribute far more to their environment than most realize. Birds ensure that flowers and plants spread and grow and that insects and animal species stay under control. They help maintain balance within their habitat—without birds, entire ecosystems may collapse. Your long distance partner CHEATED on you😔 Dont worry, don't loose hope👇 HONEY🐝 will never cheat on you ,despite of being even at long distances. Yes!!!! you heard it right! While many pollinators flit from one plant species to another, honey bees🐝 doggedly pursue flowers of a certain species. 🙋♀️Meet Geeta, Meeta, Reetu, and Neetu - four worker bees with a mission. Each morning🌅, they grab their "flight plans" and wing out the front door, destined for their designated flowers. Geeta is visiting dandelions, Meeta and Reetu are working on apples, and Neetu has cherries in mind. Each bee collects pollen from just one species, a remarkable display of loyalty. But how does this benifit the plants? For the plants, the benefits are clear: the pollen that lands on the stigma is exactly what's needed for fertilization. And you can also ensure✅ pollinaton,by placing recommended number of bee hives in some cross pollinated crop, for example :Mustard, sunflower etc. #bees #honeybees #apiculture

Nearly a quarter of U.S. mammal species are on the endangered species list. Could farming with biodiversity in mind help stave off further decline? WWF&C calls for 7% of New England's agricultural lands to be protected by 2060, knowing that farms sustain people but can also support and connect wildlife with other natural habitats. Read what experts have to say about the symbiotic relationship between farmers and wild animals--and the potential for that harmony to ease the biodiversity and climate crises across the country--in this thoughtful piece from Civil Eats https://buff.ly/3Vw8CjE
