'The resulting framework is necessarily less tightly defined than workplace competencies but allows the graduate applicant to speak the same language of skills used by their potential employers.' This shared language and ability for students to clearly articulate their skills in recruitment processes and not have to translate them from a more abstract set defined by their institution is crucial and is where a number of other skills or attributes frameworks fall down.
