It’s the best time of the year (parents), and possibly the worst time of the year (kids). That’s right, time to load up the backpack, put on the new kicks and head to school. Everyone’s got a great first day of school memory, what’s yours?

Back-to-school season … it’s not just for kids anymore! As summer comes to a close, our focus may be on getting our children back to school for the new year. However, children aren’t the only ones going back to school this fall. An increasing percentage of undergraduate college students are adults who are 25 years and older and are either going to college for the first time or after an extended break from school. This can be an exciting time, but also stressful. Want to learn more about how to make your return to school more successful? https://ow.ly/fqRS50Tk0Yr

Story time with Bruce: Where are you going? Too often adults ask children what do you want to be and most times children will tell them what they think the adult wants to hear. It’s in these times the adults smile and believe they’re doing a great job. Their child knows what they want. They also know what they want for their birthday, for Christmas and when they graduate, yet they also get accustomed to not getting everything they WANT. How is it that a child in 6th grade knows what they want to be, yet by 12 grade if they make it are lost? Why is it easy for adults to say, “these children are lost?”. Is it because neither adult nor child truly invested in nurturing the child’s want. If you’re still reading, now is the time to have me show your students to answer a different question and allow them to get on the right road for a better future.
